Tuesday was a day that promised a lot swell-wise, having only equalled or exceed such heights 17 times in our records that date back to 1980. But as is too often the case, the winds refused to play ball, limiting the number of rideable mountains for the brave few that actually jumped from skis and into straps. Not to say there wasn't a few truly heroic moments though — Francisco Porcella, Lucas Chumbo and Pedro Scooby, we're looking at you.

This swell was a one in 2 year event and within 10% of the 35 year maximum, making it an impossible to ignore candidate for our #MagicNumbers series.
