Sam Hammer wins the 10th Annual Garden State Grudge Match

The 10th Annual Garden State Grudge Match, presented by Smith Optics, was held in Seaside Heights, NJ just North of the Casino Pier on Monday, October 14th.  Surfers from all over the state of NJ come to this event each year to battle for the belt and claim NJ’s most honorable title. After going ten years strong, this was the final year for the event.  The waves were 3-4ft + with some drifty, but makeable waves kicked up by a week long Noreaster.   Local surfer Sam Hammer took 1st, making this his 5th win of this event!
