"I caught my first wave in 1969 when I was 6 years old at Manasquan Beach where I grew up. I still live and surf at the Jersey Shore where I started shaping my own surfboards after being taught by a great friend Gene Wahl Jr.    I learned after many years of trial and error I honed my skills to make the best boards possible. I make all my boards from start to finish by hand the old school way. All my boards are custom made to each surfers needs and what waves they are surfing. My board designs have been tested and proven from Jersey to The North Shore to The Carribean." - Tom Mahady

Tom gets all his supplies from Greenlight Surf Supply and makes his boards in his hometown of Wall, NJ. He makes boards that are custom fit for each rider... You name it, he will shape it. Tom has been producing high quality surfboards for over 13 years now and the quality of his boards are equivalent to those that would be hanging up on someone's wall... Each board is a work of art!

Greg wanted a shortboard that could be taken out in waist to overhead conditions. Three weeks after placing the order, the board was ready for pickup and to say he was impressed is an understatement! Overall, the board rode just as amazing as it looked. Perfect board choice for a fun day with glassy waves and even performed nicely with winds reaching 30 mph with choppy surf during our first Nor' Easter of the season.
