Get ready to witness pure froth, because this is one of the best surf films to drop for a good while. Volcom have pulled it out the bag again with Lobotomy, swerving the idyllic travel locations, lifestyle clips, and picture perfect surf we see all too much of in surf movies nowadays. This is all action packed with seriously unreal skills.
Ever heard of Frankie and the Witch Fingers? Well you have now, a garage rock band outta Indiana, and the entire soundtrack to this film is from these guys. Ear bending tunes twinned with psycho surfing, what more do you expect from the Volcom team..
So who’s in it? Well there’s New York local Balaram Stack, the unmistakable Ozzie Wright, asymmetrical connoisseur Ryan Burch, not to mention Yago Dora, Jack Robinson, and Noa Deane. They all put on one hell of a show, but whose is the best section? You’ll have to make your own mind up!
And let’s not forget to credit the creative mind behind this epic video, Ryan Thomas, thank you sir. If you’re interested to find out more about this movie head over to the Lobotomy movie webpage at Volcom.com, but what more do you really need to know.
Better yet, bust clear the next half hour and be amazed, or even better watch this if you need something to get you pumped to go surf when you’re local break is onshore mush.
